About the Journal
Finance" is a journal for the theory and practice of finance. It is one of the oldest and most renowned magazines in this field in the region. The first issue was published immediately after the end of the Second World War, more precisely on January 26, 1946. The publisher was the Department of Finance audits of the Ministry of Finance of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia (FNRJ), and the first responsible editor of the magazine was Dušan Ilić, Head of the Department.
Since May 1, 1949, the founder of the magazine is the Ministry of Finance of the FNRJ, known later as the Federal Ministry of Finance. The most prominent economists from the former Yugoslavia published their papers and research in the journal, which contributed to its high reputation in professional and scientific circles. As of January 1, 2003, all rights of the founder and publisher of the magazine are taken over by the Ministry of finance of the Republic of Serbia. As of the end of 2023, alongside the Ministry of Finance, Belgrade Banking Academy - Faculty of Banking, Insurance and Finance is a co-publisher. This change has occurred primarily due to the provisions of the Rulebook on the categorization and ranking of scientific journals, where one of the conditions is that one of the co-publishers is an accredited scientific research institution. With a new co-publisher, “Finansije” is published on a completely new basis. A new electronic system (Open Journal System - OJS) was created for receiving, reviewing, acceptance and publication of papers. The journal will be published twice a year. The journal's policy is to provide open access to all interested readers. The journal publishes original scientific papers, review papers, previous announcements, scientific criticism or debates, as well as professional papers and presentations. Requirement for publication of an article in this journal is that the papers were not previously published or submitted for publication anywhere else. Papers are prepared in accordance with the instructions for authors available at the following link (link). Each paper goes through a review process, during which double anonymous identity protection is applied.
